Andrboot's Stuff

So; Where have i been.. uhh yea :) Been head down.. bum up sorta heh busy with some temp work/learning/trying to learn some new stuff. Backups are now fully automated/functional :) duplicty/gpg keys were the main cause of the problem, however they are fixed Finally, got an operational Samba,ldap/pdc working :) New features coming online hopefully soon, ldap auth throughout all our services (new special ones coming :) ) Status site is now finally a status site, and seperate to the main box so if it does go down, you can check what has happened/problems are. Nagios - Moving it from the current location (i.e. adah.home.ahbit.net) to its new public location :) - secured of course I have learnt alot coding a nagios setup where i did some temp work, enough to go wow and implement it all over :) Ksplice - the reason for my awesome uptime :) and security heh... no more rebootin my main boxes yet still doing updates :) Tape Backup systems - still kinda freaked bout this, still looking for a windows replacemnt, and need to test a linux solution aka amanda when i finally purchase a tape for my 100/200GB tape drive. Xmarks - kicks ass :) mind you i don't trust em with my bookmarks/data so I have a local webdav setup going working wonders through vpn, soon to be also "public" New Features :) Besides ldap? They are secrets :D geodns - sooner rather then later, currently in testing Faster sites/loading times ;) more.. heh :) just yea :p Also, upcoming will be a promo when i will do some updating/live stuff :) more to come on that. Things I am keeping my eye on : Virtualbox + Virtualbox Web admin - plan to place my current virtualisation software with it :)
